LESSONS
I've taught over 500 students in my 10 years of teaching guitar and the one question I've been asked the most is "how long will it take for me to learn to play the guitar?" My answer to that has always been the same: EVERYONE is different. What one person learns in a month takes someone else a year, or 2 years. How fast you learn is determined by :
- The quality and duration of your practice and
- Your genetically inherited musical ability, and these two things are different in everyone.
Again the initial lesson is always free and involves determining your musical goals and what we can offer here at Guitar From Afar. What I usually say in the initial lesson is that a month, or 4 lessons will usually tell you whether learning and playing the guitar is something worthwhile for you.
